The following database includes all cooling solutions we have evaluated so far, using a custom-made loader that can deliver up to 1000W on its base. We don't push it so high, though, since 500W of load on Jalapeno's base is enough to push the best cooling solutions to their limits. Compared to a real CPU, Jalapeno has a much larger base, to be compatible with all current and upcoming CPUs, but this means that its load Wattage is not equal to "CPU" Wattage. The formula that provides the real-life load is the following:
Jalapeno Watt Load x 0.45 = "Real" CPU Load.
An example of the above: 500W Jalapeno Load x 0.45 = 225W "Real" CPU Load.
To make things easier for you, in the following database we use the "Real" CPU Loads. Our next step is to find a way to provide performance and noise badges to cooling solutions.
